We’re getting the builders in!
Over the coming weeks there’ll be a lot happening at The Magick Lounge.
Vistors will have noticed quite a few changes already. But some major works start this Saturday 30 October with the laying of concrete to level the front half of the main shop area. This will be followed later by the fitting of a new floor, once the concrete is properly cured.
The shop will therefore be closed on Monday and Tuesday 1 and 2 November. There’ll be no access via the main, front door on these days, or on Saturday afternoon while we’re pouring concrete.
But there’s no need to panic. If you’re desperate for a book, a pack of cards or a bag of balloons just give us a ring and we’ll arrange for you to collect. There’ll still be access via the garage/loading bay.
And of course our mail order service via our website will continue unabated.

Hi folks, Firstly, good luck with your building works! I’m based in Nuneaton – so not a million miles away to visit, once things hopefully return to normality. I note that you are open Saturdays – do you need to pre-book an appointment? My main interest, having recently taken early retirement, remains Magic Books – I still don’t think you can beat the written word. In particular, I’ve got an interest in the work of British Magicians who’ve often had their material fly under the radar – such as Walt Madison, Roger Curzon, Al Smith, Peter Kane, Walt Lees, etc. Also, any books or notes related to card gambling, etc. Drop me a line whenever it’s convenient – no rush. Best regards, Barry Allen

Thank you for your comments. No need to pre-book to join our Saturday Sessions… and probably no need to wait for a return to ‘normality’. Reckon that could mean a long wait!
We stock books by the names you listed, new or second-hand. You can download our comprehensive second-hand book lists from our website.
